Wow, its been a while since I have posted! If anyone is still out there reading this blog, nothing has changed other than we are still really busy and Landon is growing up so fast. I fear with summer coming it is only going to get worse. Alot has happened in the last few months and I have a few things that I want to post about so hopefully (with fingers crossed) I will get them posted soon.
But for now I wanted to post a little something that Landon keeps doing. Our almost daily routine is that I drop Landon off at his grandma's for the day and make my way to work. However, about half way through the day he seems to miss his mommy and decides to call mommy at work. Let me remind you that he is only 9 months old and his conversations consist of jibber jabbering and high pitch screams!
About a month ago I called my mom to check up on my little guy and see how things were going for the day. After a long talk I decided that I should get back to work and hung the phone up. Within 5 minutes my phone was ringing and it was my mom calling. I thought to myself "Oh she must have forgotten to tell me something" This happens alot. Not thinking twice I just picked it up and said "Hello". All I could hear was jibber jabbering on the other end and buttons being pushed randomly. It was pretty funny and I couldn't help but talk to him. I then called my mom on her cell phone and told her "Did you know that your grandson called mommy at work!". She walked into the other room to discover that he was playing with the phone. She could not believe that he had found the phone and was playing with it.
How did this happen you ask. Let me explain... Landon L.O.V.E.S the phone!!! If he can't have the phone or your talking on it he will throw a bloody murder tantrum until he gets it. So therefore he was playing with the phone and he luckily hit the call and redial button. He knew excatly what he was doing! He missed his mommy.
Now just today my mom walked in the living room and Landon had the phone again. So my mom took it from him and looked and my name was on the caller ID. All he had to do was push call. Yet again he wanted so badly to call his mommy at work.
He always seems to make me smile everyday.

I just barely found your blog Kimberly! How did that happen?! That's pretty cute that he called you at work.
ReplyDeleteAww, that's cute! My kids make all kinds of random phone calls from our phones, but I think they didn't even start that young :-) He's incredibly gifted :-)
